MEET THE AUTHOR

GEORGE KROLOFF

George Kroloff is a researcher and storyteller focused on uncovering the forces that shape family histories beyond names, dates, and genealogy charts. His work asks a simple but often overlooked question: why did our families make the choices they did, and how do those choices still influence us today?

Rather than attempting to recreate ancestors’ lives, George documents the social, political, economic, and cultural pressures that affected them. His research spans immigration journeys, Ellis Island experiences, labor movements, Orthodox Jewish and Catholic environments, and the power structures that shaped everyday decisions. He is particularly interested in the moments families rarely talk about, survival, fear, opportunity, secrecy, and corruption—that quietly guided generations.

George’s approach blends historical research with personal discovery, connecting individual family stories to larger historical forces. Through this lens, he invites readers to see their ancestry not as distant history, but as a living influence that continues to shape identity, behavior, and perspective.
